BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Radiation Oncology Veterinary Technician in Malvern, PA! Are you passionate about veterinary medicine and seeking to enhance your skills? Do you want to work with top veterinary professionals? Are you dependable, driven, and knowledgeable?

Pay: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience and career level. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for higher compensation. We offer shift differential pay for night and weekend hours, with examples including:

  • Monday – Friday: 6pm to 8am
  • Saturday & Sunday: 6pm to 8am
  • Saturday & Sunday: 8am to 6pm

The role involves:

  • Understanding radiation energies/modalities
  • Performing basic radiation therapy patient setups
  • Administering radiation doses under supervision
  • Discharging oncology patients and providing client education
  • Admitting oncology patients and taking comprehensive histories
  • Applying critical thinking and laboratory result interpretation
  • Understanding pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
  • Placing peripheral catheters, recognizing abnormal sounds, calculating medical math, and managing anesthesia
