Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file personal (T1) tax returns accurately and efficiently.
  • Review client documentation and ensure completeness and compliance with CRA requirements.
  • Communicate with clients to gather missing information and clarify tax‑related questions.
  • Stay current with Canadian tax laws and updates relevant to the 2025 tax season.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping or administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience preparing Canadian personal tax returns (T1) is required.
  • Familiarity with tax software such as Cantax, TaxCycle, Profile, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of CRA guidelines and tax credits/deductions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple files.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Assets

  • Experience with self‑employed, rental income, or investment income returns.
  • Post‑secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays during peak season.
