As part of our growth, we’re expanding our engineering team to deliver expert service and installation support for our customers.

We are looking for a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our technical services team, covering the Surrey region.

This is a customer-facing role, responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of laundry pump equipment in commercial and industrial laundry rooms within the care sector.

The role requires a mix of practical hands-on skills, electrical competency, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent service to our customers.

Full product training will be provided.

This is a permanent full time role, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Typical working hours are between 08:00am to 5:00pm, however flexibility required to respond to emergency repairs outside of standard working hours.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain laundry dosing and pump systems across care home sites.
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive support.
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring minimum disruption in care environments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and installation activities.
  • Work closely with the wider Blueleaf customer support teams.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for someone who is

  • Electrically competent (basic knowledge of circuits, fault-finding, and safety).
  • Familiar with pumps, dosing systems, or mechanical equipment (desirable but not essential).
  • Able to travel across the Surrey region, with occasional overnight stays if required.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
  • A strong communicator with good customer service skills.
  • Willing to learn – full product training and support will be provided.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Electrical/electromechanical background or qualification (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a service/field engineer role (desirable but not essential).

What will we offer?

We will offer a salary of £42,144.00, 33 days holiday inclusive of bank and public holidays.
