As part of our growth, we’re expanding our engineering team to deliver expert service and installation support for our customers.
We are looking for a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our technical services team, covering the West Yorkshire region.
This is a customer-facing role, responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of laundry pump equipment in commercial and industrial laundry rooms within the care sector.
The role requires a mix of practical hands-on skills, electrical competency, and the ability to work independently while providing excellent service to our customers.
Full product training will be provided.
This is a permanent full time role, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Typical working hours are between 08:00am to 5:00pm, however flexibility required to respond to emergency repairs outside of standard working hours.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain laundry dosing and pump systems across care home sites.
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical and mechanical faults.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive support.
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring minimum disruption in care environments.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and installation activities.
- Work closely with the wider Blueleaf customer support teams.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who is
- Electrically competent (basic knowledge of circuits, fault-finding, and safety).
- Familiar with pumps, dosing systems, or mechanical equipment (desirable but not essential).
- Able to travel across the West Yorkshire region, with occasional overnight stays if required.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
- A strong communicator with good customer service skills.
- Willing to learn – full product training and support will be provided.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Electrical/electromechanical background or qualification (preferred).
- Previous experience in a service/field engineer role (desirable but not essential).
What will we offer?
We will offer a salary of £42,144.00, 33 days holiday inclusive of bank and public holidays.
