Overview
Working in the world of care, we are dedicated to providing excellent support and exceptional care to our customers at Blueleaf. We are a leading supplier of care products, consumables and furniture, and we are recruiting a permanent, full time Junior Service Engineer to provide proactive and reactive maintenance support to Blueleaf Care Customers across the South East Region.
This is a customer-facing role, so excellent communication skills and a professional attitude are essential. While previous experience is not required, candidates must demonstrate strong practical ability, a willingness to learn and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in engineering or technical support.
This is a permanent full time role, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Typical working hours are between 08:00am to 5:00pm; flexibility is required to respond to emergency repairs outside of standard working hours.
Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites (Care Homes) to conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on the full range of commercial laundry equipment and third-party equipment as required.
- Diagnose root cause mechanical and electrical faults and repair/replace where required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete job reports.
- Provide technical support and training to care home staff on equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and service calls.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for parts and technical support.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including service vehicle and tools.

What we offer
We will offer a competitive salary, 33 days holiday inclusive of bank and public holidays.
