The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Real Estate Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our property portfolio in London. This is one of the most critical and high-impact roles at Blueground, responsible for acquiring new units, building strategic partnerships, and shaping the future of flexible living in the UK\’s most competitive real estate market.

What You’ll Do
- Portfolio Growth: Identify, pitch, and secure leasing deals with developers, landlords, and multifamily property owners that align with Blueground’s portfolio strategy.
- Market Strategy: Conduct neighborhood-level research to determine ideal locations, building types, and unit specs that match Blueground standards and guest expectations.
- Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with key real estate players—including property owners, brokers, and developers—to drive long-term supply growth.
- Deal Negotiation: Structure win-win leasing partnerships, overseeing deal terms, lease execution, and property onboarding.
- Cross-functional Execution: Collaborate closely with internal teams (Legal, Ops, Finance, and Launch) to ensure seamless handoff and successful unit activation.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage junior Real Estate Associates, supporting team performance, development, and local strategy alignment.
- Policy Awareness: Stay ahead of local regulations and public policy to ensure portfolio compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic advantage.
- Strategic Input: Provide London market insights to the broader leadership team to inform company-wide expansion planning and business model evolution.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in real estate, business development, leasing, or investment sales
- A proven track record of closing real estate deals, securing leases, or managing high-stakes partnerships
- Excellent negotiation skills with a knack for balancing business goals and partner needs
- Entrepreneurial drive, with a get-it-done mentality and a strong sense of ownership
- Sharp analytical thinking—comfortable with market data, pricing strategy, and financial modeling
- Strong local market knowledge of Central London real estate and an existing network is a big plus
