Care Dorset is a successful and growing Local Authority Trading Company (LATC) providing social care services to adults across Dorset. With ambitious plans for the future, we are committed to delivering outstanding care and strengthening our role as a provider, partner and employer of choice.
We are now seeking a Non-Executive Director (NED) to join our Board and take on the portfolio lead for clinical and therapeutic services. This is a key governance role, supporting the strategic development of Care Dorset, providing robust professional challenge and assurance, and shaping our approach to clinical excellence, quality, safety and providing an outstanding service to the people and families we support. The appointed NED will act as our Board lead for clinical matters as we introduce nursing care and therapy lead services in the near future. As such, we are seeking someone with a healthcare background, ideally a clinician or therapist. Your insight will be crucial in ensuring safe, effective and continuously improving care.
We are looking for a strategic, values driven leader with:
- Board level experience, ideally within a health and care setting
- Strong understanding of clinical quality, governance and risk
- Ability to provide independent challenge and strategic oversight
