As a Barista and Bar Team Member, you will play a vital role in creating a positive experience for our customers. You will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, handling transactions, maintaining cleanliness, setting up for events and contributing to the friendly atmosphere of the centre.

Working Hours: This role has options for hours between 6hrs-20hrs per week. Please also note due to the nature of this role, the hours are all evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet and interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner. Take orders accurately and efficiently, offering product recommendations where appropriate. Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Bar and Coffee Shop Operations: Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages. Operate coffee machines effectively and occasionally beer taps, and other equipment. Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as needed. Adhere to licensing laws and follow procedures for serving alcohol responsibly.
  • Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensure the bar and coffee shop areas are clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times. Wash and sanitize equipment, utensils, and surfaces regularly. Follow health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management regarding customer needs or stock issues.
