Reports to: Distribution Centre (DC) Manager
The Role
As Warehouse Team Leader, you will coordinate the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring stock is received, stored, picked and dispatched safely, accurately and efficiently. Working closely with the DC Manager and Supply Chain Coordinator, you will allocate workloads, monitor workflow, support warehouse colleagues and help ensure productivity, safety and customer service targets are achieved. This is a hands-on operational leadership role and does not include formal line management responsibilities such as recruitment, appraisals, absence management or disciplinary matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily warehouse activities and allocate workloads.
- Monitor workflow, productivity and order completion throughout the shift.
- Ensure accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of stock.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, stock rotation and high housekeeping standards.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is operated safely and defects are reported.
- Promote safe working practices and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
