Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Operative – Doncaster We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established and successful business at their warehouse facility in Doncaster. This is a varied, hands-on warehouse position where you will be responsible for picking and packing customer orders, receiving incoming goods and supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy warehouse. The Role Working as part of the warehouse team, your responsibilities will include: * Picking and packing trade and retail customer orders accurately and efficiently * Checking incoming deliveries and putting stock away in the correct warehouse locations * Loading customer orders onto delivery vehicles * Moving stock safely around the warehouse * Operating warehouse equipment including PPT/pedestrian pallet trucks and stackers * Using Counterbalance and Reach Trucks where appropriately trained and licensed * Ensuring orders are picked accurately and ready for dispatch * Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies * Attending required training and supporting other warehouse duties when needed As this is a busy warehouse environment, flexibility is important and you may be asked to support different areas of the operation depending on workload. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and comfortable working as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have: * Previous experience working within a warehouse or distribution environment * PPT experience – essential * Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck licences – desirable * A good standard of literacy and numeracy * Strong attention to detail and a "right first time" approach * The ability to work independently and use your own initiative * Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines * A flexible and positive approach to work * Willingness to learn new skills and undertake additional training * The ability to carry out a physically demanding role, including manual handling and some heavy lifting What's on Offer This is a great opportunity to join an established organisation offering a stable working environment and the opportunity to develop additional warehouse skills.
