Job Description: Job Specification – Warehouse Operative Location: Enfield, North London (nearest train station: Ponder’s End) Salary: £28,000 per annum, increasing to £29,000 after successful completion of 3-month probation Hours: Full-time, 42 hours per week, rota basis * Monday – Friday, between 06:00 – 18:00 * Occastional Saturdays, 06:00 – 14:00 About the Company My client is an award-winning international designer and manufacturer of premium surfaces for the commercial and residential interiors sector, with UK Headquarters in Enfield, North London. The Role My client is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their busy Distribution Centre in Enfield. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations, supporting the distribution of premium quartz and porcelain countertops across the UK. This role involves both warehouse responsibilities and driving duties. All applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence and be confident driving a 3.5 tonne truck to complete ad hoc deliveries to customers. Key Responsibilities * Carry out all general warehouse duties, including processing incoming and outgoing orders and shipments * Handle stock movement, allocation, and organisation across the warehouse * Assist with the provision and distribution of premium products across the UK * Evaluate, record, and report any damaged stock * Drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle to complete ad hoc deliveries to customers * Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment in line with company policies and health & safety standards * Operate a mobile terminal to manage stock data (receiving, allocation, issuing, reporting) Requirements * Valid UK driving licence (essential) – confident in driving a 3.5 tonne vehicle * Physically fit, able to handle heavy lifting on a daily basis * Careful and safety-conscious approach to working with heavy products * Proficiency in basic IT – ability to use a PC and handheld/mobile terminals * Good written and verbal communication skills * Forklift licence – desirable but not essential Salary & Benefits * £28,000 per annum, rising to £29,000 after successful probation (3 months) * 25 days annual leave + bank holidays * Holiday purchase scheme (up to 5 extra days per year) * Private healthcare * Group life assurance * Increased employer pension contributions * Free annual private health check * Free on-site parking & electric charging points * Retail discounts * Free will writing service Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * Company pension * Life insurance * On-site parking * Private medical insurance
