My client is a luxury interiors manufacturer specialising in bathrooms, ceramics, kitchens and flooring. They are looking for a candidate to train up to become a fully fledged, field based, Business Development Manager.
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Junior Sales Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to advance their careers in sales. The Junior Sales Manager will assist in driving sales strategies, managing client relationships, and supporting the senior sales team in achieving targets. This position provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a supportive environment.
The candidate:
- The ideal candidate should have some experience in selling an interiors or construction product, be self-motivated, adaptable, have excellent communication skills and possess a desire to succeed.
- Well-presented and smart appearance.
- Be able to manage and maintain your pipeline of customers.
- Must be a team player whilst also having the ability to work alone and self-motivate.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to varying customer needs.
- Proven track record achieving measurable inside sales goals in an automated sales environment where accurate entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required.
- Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment; team player.
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills.
- The highest level of integrity.
- Experience dealing with architects, interior designers, builders and developers within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks of Assistant BDM:
- Support the BDM in building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential new customers to grow the business.
- Review Glenigan's on a weekly basis and identify new business opportunities and new areas of market for growth.
- Assist the BDM with following up on project opportunities & leads and assist with converting to order.
- Updating and maintaining Sales Force daily to ensure client & project information is up to date.
- Assist with maintaining client relationships including preparing proposals & presentations alongside design & estimating department.
- Participate in buyer selection meetings.
- Support the BDM with daily tasks including clients meetings/ project specification/ sample distribution/ site visits.
- Secure at least 2 new target accounts each month.
- React to new leads and business opportunities secured via material bank.
- Target potential new customers via cold calling/ direct mail with product offers and incentives.
- Diary will be managed by BDM.

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
