Bluegate is on the lookout for a Facilities Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team within a manufacturing facility in Oldham. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping the plant running smoothly – responding to alarms, fixing breakdowns, and ensuring the systems stay in peak condition, all day, every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs across plant and equipment
  • Ensure the delivery of high purity water to our manufacturing operations
  • Monitor and maintain Gas Detection and BMS systems
  • Keep cooling, compressed air, vacuum, gas, effluent, and electrical systems in top shape
  • Provide rapid, effective response to emergencies and plant issues

Essential Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services
  • Facilities Maintenance experience
  • Solid knowledge of H&V plant and water systems
  • Great at diagnosing faults and working under pressure
  • Mechanically biased, with a keen eye for safety
  • Ideally have 18th Edition, IPAF, City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical
  • Desirable, HVAC, clean room, or chemical plant experience
  • Understanding of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics
