Bluegate is on the lookout for a Facilities Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team within a manufacturing facility in Oldham. You will be the go-to person for keeping the plant running smoothly – responding to alarms, fixing breakdowns, and ensuring the systems stay in peak condition, all day, every day.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs across plant and equipment
- Ensure the delivery of high purity water to our manufacturing operations
- Monitor and maintain Gas Detection and BMS systems
- Keep cooling, compressed air, vacuum, gas, effluent, and electrical systems in top shape
- Provide rapid, effective response to emergencies and plant issues
Essential Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services
- Facilities Maintenance experience
- Solid knowledge of H&V plant and water systems
- Great at diagnosing faults and working under pressure
- Mechanically biased, with a keen eye for safety
- Ideally have 18th Edition, IPAF, City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical
- Desirable, HVAC, clean room, or chemical plant experience
- Understanding of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics
