Bluegate are proud to partner with a renowned British design and manufacturer of semiconductor components who are looking for an experienced Semiconductor Yield Manager for their site in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.
Purpose of the Role
The Semiconductor Yield and Integration Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers across development, qualification, and integration of new process technologies. You’ll be at the forefront of driving yield enhancement initiatives across both new and production-qualified semiconductor manufacturing processes. In this key leadership role, you will act as the interface between multiple operational disciplines to ensure robust, high-yielding, and sustainable manufacturing performance, while also ensuring compliance with environmental and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of engineers focused on process integration and yield improvement.
- Develop, implement, and qualify new process technologies aligned with our technology roadmap.
- Monitor and report die and line yield performance across all technologies.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and resolve yield detractors using yield pareto analysis.
- Conduct ISO14001 and OHSAS45001 internal audits and liaise with regulatory bodies including the Environment Agency and HSE.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Significant team leadership experience within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Significant experience of yield improvement activity and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in SPC, FMEA, DOE, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Demonstrated success in change management within a high-quality production environment.
- MSc or higher in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline.
