Bluegate are proud to partner with a renowned British design and manufacturer of semiconductor components who are looking for an experienced Semiconductor Yield Manager for their site in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham.

Purpose of the Role: The Semiconductor Yield and Integration Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers across development, qualification, and integration of new process technologies. You’ll be at the forefront of driving yield enhancement initiatives across both new and production-qualified semiconductor manufacturing processes. In this key leadership role, you will act as the interface between multiple operational disciplines to ensure robust, high-yielding, and sustainable manufacturing performance, while also ensuring compliance with environmental and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of engineers focused on process integration and yield improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and qualify new process technologies aligned with our technology roadmap.
  • Monitor and report die and line yield performance across all technologies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and resolve yield detractors using yield pareto analysis.
  • Conduct ISO14001 and OHSAS45001 internal audits and liaise with regulatory bodies including the Environment Agency and HSE.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Significant team leadership experience within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Significant experience of yield improvement activity and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in SPC, FMEA, DOE, and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Demonstrated success in change management within a high-quality production environment.
  • MSc or higher in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline.
