Bluegate are working with a leading British semiconductor manufacturing company based in Newton Aycliffe, supplying high-reliability products to the defence industry. As part of their continued growth, we are seeking a Yield and Integration Engineer to support process optimisation, product performance, and manufacturing excellence.

The Role

As a Yield and Integration Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving device yield, supporting process integration projects, and driving continuous improvement across wafer fabrication processes. You will work closely with manufacturing, process, quality, and R&D teams to ensure robust, high-yield production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse manufacturing data to identify yield loss mechanisms and drive corrective actions
  • Support process integration across multiple semiconductor process steps
  • Lead root cause analysis using statistical and problem-solving methodologies (e.g. SPC, DOE, 8D)
  • Drive yield improvement projects from investigation through to implementation
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and process change qualification

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or a related discipline
  • Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing or high and medium volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor processes and process integration
  • Proven experience with yield analysis and data-driven problem solving
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and manufacturing data systems
