Located in Eastleigh, this role provides an outstanding opportunity to showcase and enhance your strategic sourcing and supplier management expertise. As the Group Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the procurement landscape for our clients' central functions, offering essential support to the Group Director of Procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse internal spending to identify savings and optimize spend aggregation.
- Benchmark supply chain performance against best practices through external market analysis.
- Develop sourcing strategies for RFx activities, highlighting risk/reward/ROI.
- Manage stakeholder sourcing and contractual requirements, ensuring expectations are met.
- Assist the Group Procurement Director with policy development and governance for consistent procurement.
- Contribute to group savings targets, especially in central cost centres and Capex spending.
- Create a centralized supplier due diligence process and conduct risk analysis.
- Simplify the supply chain, reduce supplier numbers, and enhance supplier value.
- Promote sustainability and innovation in the supply chain, reporting on benefits and trade-offs.
- Support all audit reviews and legal obligations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive dedicated procurement experience with a broad range of procurement expertise.
- Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written, and presentational.
- Strong ability to collaborate and engage with internal and external stakeholders at various seniority levels.
- Persuasive and influential with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Analytical and strategic mindset with demonstrable end-to-end sourcing and RFx experience.
- Willingness to travel across the UK with potential for occasional international travel.
- Experience in global supply chain and international trade regulations is beneficial but not essential.
- Degree and CIPS or equivalent are highly beneficial but not essential.
