Facilities Shift Technician – Oldham – Days and nights shift pattern

Full-Time – 24/7 Shift Cover
BlueGate is on the lookout for a Facilities Shift Technician to join a dynamic engineering team within a manufacturing facility in Oldham. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping the plant running smoothly – responding to alarms, fixing breakdowns, and ensuring the systems stay in peak condition, all day, every day.
Responsibilities:
– Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs across plant and equipment
– Ensure the delivery of high purity water to our manufacturing operations
– Monitor and maintain Gas Detection and BMS systems
– Keep cooling, compressed air, vacuum, gas, effluent, and electrical systems in top shape
– Provide rapid, effective response to emergencies and plant issues
Essential Requirements:
– NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services
– Facilities Maintenance experience
– Solid knowledge of H&V plant and water systems
– Great at diagnosing faults and working under pressure
– Mechanically biased, with a keen eye for safety
– Ideally have 18th Edition, IPAF, City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical
– Desirable, HVAC, clean room, or chemical plant xiskglj experience
– Understanding of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics
