Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture spare parts using lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults, ensuring timely return to operational service.
  • Assist with the installation and repositioning of machinery.
  • Conduct periodic inspections and maintenance of electrical services.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of maintenance activities.
  • Uphold high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Time-served engineer in machine tool fitting or equivalent qualification.
  • Formal IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 qualification or equivalent.
  • Valid UK driver\’s licence.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a comparable environment.
  • Strong understanding of installation processes and current electrical legislation.
  • Familiarity with planned and preventive maintenance.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering/electrical drawings and using testing equipment.
  • Methodical approach to systems and adherence to established work standards.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.
