Web Developer - Remote working in Bath, Somerset

Job Title: Web Developer Salary: £35k-£40k Location: Bath (Hybrid, WFH 1 day a week) Bluefuse is looking for a talented junior to mid-level developer to join our team. At Bluefuse, we design, build and manage software and digital platforms for businesses that rely on these systems day to day. We focus on building solutions that are reliable, maintainable and built to last. In this role, you will contribute to the development and ongoing support of high-quality digital platforms, websites and business-critical applications. This could include WordPress, Laravel APIs, custom web solutions and other technologies depending on project requirements. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving real problems, takes ownership of their work and is committed to delivering quality and dependable solutions with a strong eye for detail. This is a full-time hybrid Web Developer role based in Bath, with the flexibility to work one day a week from home. The Web Developer will be responsible for designing and developing both front-end and back-end web solutions, maintaining and enhancing applications, and ensuring the optimization, performance, and responsiveness of web projects. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver seamless user experiences will be a crucial aspect of this role. Developing, building and maintaining high-quality websites, applications and digital platforms Taking ownership of solutions, ensuring it meets quality, accessibility and maintainability standards At 1 year of commercial experience in web or software development Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills Confidence working with PHP Proven experience building accessible, user-friendly websites Some commercial experience with WordPress development and support Strong attention to detail and focus on delivering high-quality results Agile, Git version control, code reviews) Experience with Laravel or similar PHP frameworks Automated testing experience (e.g. Familiarity with frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular / Vue / React Native) Exposure to mySQL or PostgreSQL Flexible working hours are available, balanced with team and client needs. Remote work is an option along with regular time together in the office to support a collaborative culture.
