The Perse School is seeking to appoint an Outdoor Education Instructor and Technician, to start in September 2025. The post holder will be an energetic and hard-working team player amongst our 13-strong Outdoor Education Department team. They will assist in managing the purpose-built equipment stores at the Outdoor Education Centre.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting inspections, inventory checks, maintenance activities and issuing/returning equipment.
- Setting up and clearing of equipment for activity sessions daily.
- Contributing to equipment procurement planning in conjunction with the Outdoor Education Operations Manager.
- Working across the breadth of Outdoor Education provision at The Perse, including the Perse Exploration Society’s provision, games programme delivery, extra-curricular clubs and climbing provision.
- Participating in most Outdoor Education trips and having a passion for expeditionary work.
Work is divided between activity instruction, trip participation and administration/maintenance work, comprising approximately 50% of term-time work.
