We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader – Head of Watersports to join our team in Bembridge, Isle of Wight. This is an exciting leadership role for a passionate watersports professional who enjoys leading teams, developing others, and delivering high‑quality activity programmes in a coastal environment.

The Role:

As Head of Watersports, you will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of watersports activities, ensuring safe, engaging and well‑organised sessions. You will lead by example, support and mentor instructors, and help maintain high standards across all watersports delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supervising the watersports team
  • Delivering high‑quality, safe and enjoyable watersports sessions
  • Overseeing equipment, safety procedures and risk assessments
  • Supporting staff training, mentoring and development
  • Ensuring excellent standards of instruction and customer experience

Requirements:

  • Sea Kayak Leader Award
  • RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor with a Paddlesport Leader or BC coach award

You should also have:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A proactive, responsible approach to safety and supervision
  • A passion for watersports and developing others
  • The ability to work as part of a wider centre leadership team
