Trainee Phlebotomist Field Based – Various locations in London. £27,783 per year plus commission, overtime, expenses and benefits. If you choose to join us, you will be known internally as a Health Assessment Specialist and will join a passionate team delivering high‑quality health assessments across your region. Please note we are only able to consider candidates who reside in the following locations: Dalston, Hackney, Stoke Newington and Stratford. Responsibilities, Hours and The Day‑to‑Day Of The Role
- Work 4 x 10‑hour shifts per week, totalling 40 hours, with shifts scheduled between 6 am and 10 pm, Monday to Sunday. Shift pattern will be allocated three weeks in advance by the resource planner.
- Drive up to 2 hours to reach the venue each day. Public transport may be used where the venue type requires it.
- Each shift involves traveling to your allocated venue, setting up your kit, greeting customers and performing health assessments.
- Perform various assessments – including PAD, ECG, phlebotomy (once qualified), lung function, body composition and short fitness tests – and offer advice on further testing when appropriate.
- Update and maintain all relevant administration records. Results are relayed to technologists or higher‑level staff; you will not relay consults with customers after completion.
What We’d Like to See From You
- A full UK driving licence and access to a standard‑sized car, as you must transport your kit to and from the venue.
- Availability to work any day between Monday and Sunday, and any hour between 6 am and 10 pm, on a rota‑basis. Rota patterns include 6 am‑4 pm, 8 am‑6 pm and 1 pm‑10 pm.
- Competent use of computers, tablets and phones.
- Clear DBS – we process this on your behalf.
- Ability to travel up to 2 hours away from your home location and occasional overnight stays where required.
- Living within the correct distance of the regional location of the role.
- Attend the Milton Keynes head office for the first two weeks of training – you will stay Monday‑Friday for both weeks.
- A real willingness to learn and take on new skills.
- Enhanced criminal records check as part of onboarding.
