Department Overview:
This role will be in the newly formed Trade Support Group which sits within the wider Business Management team.
The Trade Support Group currently has teams in London, Singapore and New York directly supporting the Execution desk & Portfolio Managers (PM). The group supports all aspects of trade capture, trade flow across macro products and works closely with various internal groups (Operations, Risk, PC, Technology) to identify & resolve issues, enhance & integrate new processes and technology as well as help to establish & police best practices.
Role Overview:
Sitting with the Execution desk, the candidate will be covering the Rates & Emerging Markets desk based in the London office with main responsibilities including:
- Timely & accurate booking of new trades that do not STP across futures, swaps, options as well as unwinds/novations /expiries and other trade life cycle events
- Primary contact for post-trade issues for PMs and the Execution desk
- Liaising with various internal groups Operations, Risk, PC, Technology teams to identify & resolve exceptions/trade flow/PnL & risk issues on the day
- Identify process gaps/inefficiencies and implement standardised & controlled process improvements across the asset classes
- Helping facilitate the integration of new technology infrastructure (trade booking tools, execution venues etc)
- Adherence to regulatory and firm compliance policies
This role will not involve any execution or trading activity.
Experience required:
- Essential to have relevant Middle Office/Trading Assistant experience within an established Buy and/or Sell side organisation, specifically that involves direct interaction with Traders, PMs or Execution desk
- Minimum of 5 years of operational experience
- Good working knowledge of Fixed income products, both OTC and Listed
