The Junior Analyst role will be in the Middle Office Trade Support Group which sits within the wider Business Management team. The Trade Support Group currently has teams in London, New York and Singapore directly supporting the Execution desk & Portfolio Managers (PM). The group supports all aspects of trade capture, trade flow across macro products and works closely with various internal groups (Operations, Risk, PC, Technology) to identify & resolve issues, enhance & integrate new processes and technology as well as help to establish & police best practices.
Sitting with the Execution desk and the London Middle office colleague, the candidate will be covering the EMEA Rates desk across London, Geneva, Dubai & Jersey offices with main responsibilities including:
- Timely & accurate booking of new trades that do not STP across futures, swaps, options as well as unwinds/novations/expiries and other trade life cycle events.
- Coordinate post-trade issues by liaising with various internal groups Operations, Risk, PC, Technology teams to resolve exceptions/trade flow/PnL & risk issues on the day.
- Maintain clear communication with Execution and PMs when picking up items from the group chat/inbox and manage expectations of the end PM/owner as requests accumulate.
- Ensure all daily tasks are complete before EOD and any pending items are handed over to regional MOTS team/Ops where relevant.
- Escalate any issues timely to PMs and where appropriate London Execution or Manager.
- Identify process gaps/inefficiencies and implement standardised & controlled process improvements across the asset classes.
- Adherence to regulatory and firm compliance policies.
Note: The team in London start at 8:00am working 4 days in office. The WFH day has to be coordinated with the team to ensure coverage. This role will not involve any execution or trading activity.
Experience required:
- Junior Analyst or Internship experience within an established Buy and/or Sell side organisation is required.
- University Degree qualification or country equivalent.
- Experience working with various internal/external teams managing/coordinating multiple tasks is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of any Fixed Income product is an advantage.
