Department Overview
Our Technology Infrastructure team operates globally and is responsible for every aspect of the firm's platforms. This ranges from our EUC/Office environments to Trading and Core service Co-Location Data Centres, and extends to Public Cloud, delivering top-tier technology services to a dynamic and demanding Trading organisation. In addition to meeting the round-the-clock operational demands of the platforms, we continuously evolve and transform our platforms to maintain a competitive edge that our business requires. We innovate to provide valuable solutions and leverage our skilled Technology teams to deliver against rapidly changing business requirements.
Role Overview
Predominantly involved in the EUC environments, user support and maintenance in our London and remote regions in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Americas. The ideal candidate will have a solid and demonstrable support and engineering understanding of the Windows desktop environment and current working experience in an Enterprise Front Office / Banking / Trading environment. There will be a requirement to work shifts in order to cover trading times, although the hours covered are not expected to be outside of UK 7am β 7pm. Occasional weekend and out of hours work is expected.

- Strong interpersonal skills and a personality that enjoys interacting and building a rapport with people to provide a first-class service.
- Extensive Desktop & Trade Floor support and engineering experience working in a structured or financial institution within a dynamic and fast-paced operational support environment.
- A seasoned engineer with support and engineering knowledge across the desktop supporting infrastructure stack and the ability to work and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical people.
Core Skills
- Trade floor or related experience in high pressure environments, time sensitive.
- Self-motivated to succeed, deliver, learn and contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the EUC platform.
- Takes pride in the quality of their work and possesses high attention to detail in all thatβs asked of them.
- Microsoft Active Directory user/group, GPO maintenance and related automation/engineering.
- Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 enterprise Operating systems and related automation/engineering, troubleshooting in a high-performance environment.
- Experience of working with Virtual Desktop Environments on VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V or similar.
- Microsoft Office 2021, 2024 and 365 suites, including custom/3rd party Excel add-in support.
- Trading Voice VOIP technologies (SIP, Avaya, SpeakerBus, Cloud9 telephony systems).
- Core understanding of TCP/IP, Networking Technologies and desk level patching.
- Market Data Application experience, namely Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Neovest, Trayport.
- HP Desktop Hardware, Nvidia graphics products and support.
- BYOD Mobile device support experience (Blackberry Work/UEM, O365).
- Core Application, environment engineering and support for stability, compatibility and automation.
- Remote application and desktop access technologies, preferably Citrix DaaS or ADC.
- Working engineering and usage knowledge of SCCM/Application Virtualisation and/or similar technologies.
- Working scripting knowledge with PowerShell to automate and streamline.
Desirable skills
- Poly/Microsoft Teams video conferencing.
- Working engineering knowledge Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktop delivery environments.
- Microsoft Copilot/AI technologies.
