Overview of the team/department:

The Commodities business focuses on trading metals, oil, gas, power, agriculture, and soft commodities. We are building a large team trading European energy, reporting to a senior Portfolio Manager.

Role requirements:

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our high-performing Gas and Power Trading team. You’ll work directly alongside traders and analysts to build, maintain, and improve models that directly impact trading decisions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll own the full lifecycle of data-driven models — from design and prototyping to deployment and monitoring.

  • Minimum 2+ years of coding and modelling experience.
  • Candidates will be given a coding/data science project early in the interview process and should be prepared to dedicate time to complete this.

Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Maths, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields from a leading university.
  • Extensive modelling skills in Python.
  • Professional experience in data science/statistics is preferred.
