We are expanding our team with a new position of Sports Manager , who will lead and support heads of department to self-manage their departmental objectives and develop sports activities on offer within each area of the Club.
A joined-up approach to ensure all departments work together, alongside the programme of activity for the school, will be essential.
The Sports Manager is part of the Senior Management Team playing an active role in the achievement of the Club’s business plan and future development of the Club, whilst actively working to develop the coaching activity across the Club, ensuring all opportunities are maximised, both in terms of financial return and the quality of coaching provided.
You will line manage a number of people, ensuring their development and progression, as well as oversee timetable requirements for Bluecoat Sports and Christ’s Hospital communicating as needed.
You will be responsible for budgets, income growth, KPI’s as well as Health and safety compliance by staff.
Your background will be customer focused with a passion for developing sports coaching.
You will have a proven track record of leading and coaching in a changing environment to achieve targets; recruitment, training and developing staff; and analysing data/cost effectiveness.
You will be driven, enthusiastic, a problem solver with a can-do attitude, and a proactive self-starter who is also a team player.
You can adapt your communication and approach to suit different circumstances, both verbally and in writing.
You will have or have previously held a Sports Coaching Qualification.
