Bluebottle has a vacancy for a senior interior designer to join its team in London. This role requires a designer who can independently manage projects across all stages while maintaining high design standards, strong client relationships and technical accuracy. You will work closely with directors and the wider team, balancing creativity, coordination and delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Project leadership: lead projects from pitch and concept through to completion, manage all project stages including concept, developed design, tender, technical design and installation, coordinate project programmes, deliverables and deadlines, lead meetings internally and externally, reporting regularly to directors, act as a primary client contact throughout project delivery.
  • Creative design: develop strong conceptual and narrative-led design ideas, produce creative and commercially considered space planning solutions, prepare client presentations including sketches, visualisations, imagery and sample boards, coordinate finishes, materials and FF&E selections, maintain exceptional design quality and attention to detail throughout projects.
  • Technical delivery: produce and oversee detailed Revit drawing packages, coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers, review and mark up drawing packages prepared by junior team members, ensure compliance with UK building regulations and technical standards.
  • Site and client coordination: confidently lead projects on-site during construction and installation, attend site meetings and resolve issues proactively, maintain design intent and quality throughout delivery.
  • Team and studio contribution: mentor and support junior designers, contribute positively to studio culture and internal design reviews, maintain awareness of industry trends, materials, suppliers and emerging design ideas through trade shows, workshops and events.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience within a UK interior design or interior architecture practice.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both creative thinking and technical delivery.
  • Excellent space planning and design development skills.
  • High proficiency in Revit is essential.
  • Strong technical understanding and construction knowledge.
  • Confident managing projects independently.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and client-facing skills.
  • Positive, proactive and collaborative approach.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in architecture, interior design, interior architecture or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and fire regulations.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
