An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join the rapidly growing specialist structural services division of a well-established £200m civil engineering group. Originally founded over 40 years ago as a concrete frame contractor, the business has grown into one of the UK’s leading engineering contractors, operating across:
- Structures
- Infrastructure
- Fire Protection
- Specialist Structural Services
The specialist structural services division delivers a wide range of works including:
- Concrete cutting
- Concrete repairs
- Specialist demolition
- Diamond drilling
Currently operating at circa £30m turnover, the division has ambitious plans to grow to £100m by 2030. As part of this expansion, a new office has recently opened near Warrington, complementing the London head office and strengthening the company’s position as a truly national specialist contractor. Due to increased project activity and a strong pipeline of enquiries, the business is now looking to appoint an Estimator / QS to support the continued growth of the North West operation.
The Role
This position will primarily focus on tender pricing and estimating, while also offering broader exposure across commercial and pre-construction activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in a growing team and should be comfortable taking on a varied workload within a fast-moving environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and pricing tenders
- Supporting commercial and QS activities
- Assisting with wider pre-construction functions
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
About You
Ideally, you'll have:
- A strong civil engineering background
- Experience pricing civil engineering, concrete, or demolition-related works (preferred)
- A degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- A stable employment history and a genuine ambition to progress your career
- The ability to commute to the Warrington office
The company also offers flexibility, with the opportunity to work from home 1–2 days per week.
