Ready to take the next step in your career?
This is an opportunity to do more than deliver designs.
Join a respected London design consultancy in a senior role where you can shape projects, influence technical decisions and play a key part in the development of the engineering team.
Working closely with a company director, you'll take a leading role in temporary works design across a diverse portfolio of major demolition, enabling works, groundworks and reinforced concrete projects.
You'll have the scope to apply your technical expertise, take ownership of challenging engineering solutions and help drive the continued development of the team.
For an ambitious Senior Engineer looking for greater autonomy, leadership responsibility and the opportunity to make a genuine impact, this role offers an exciting next step.
The Opportunity
- Lead technically challenging projects — take ownership of temporary works design from concept through to detailed design, including calculations, drawings, specifications and risk assessments.
- Broaden your technical experience — work across demolition stability, façade retention, propping, excavations, piling, working platforms, crane bases, formwork, falsework and reinforced concrete stability.
- Work closely with senior leadership — collaborate directly with a company director, contributing to technical decisions and the delivery of practical, commercially effective engineering solutions.
- Develop your leadership skills — mentor and support engineers, contribute to recruitment and help build the capability of the wider team.
- Take ownership and influence delivery — manage design programmes, resources and technical reviews, ensuring projects meet demanding deadlines without compromising quality or safety.
- Help shape engineering standards — maintain robust design records, strengthen checking procedures and champion continuous improvement across the business.
Why Consider This Role?
This is an opportunity to join a busy, respected consultancy where your experience will be valued and your contribution will be visible.
You'll work alongside contractors on some of London's most technically demanding projects, tackling complex engineering challenges while developing your influence beyond the design desk.
Rather than being limited to producing calculations and drawings, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership, support the next generation of engineers and help shape how projects are designed and delivered.
For the right person, this is a chance to build on an established technical career and move towards a more influential role within a specialist engineering consultancy.
If you're an experienced Temporary Works Design Engineer ready for greater responsibility, more challenging projects and the opportunity to make your mark, this could be the next move for you
