This leading specialist contractor is delivering multiple high-profile packages at Heathrow Airport and is looking for a senior Project Quantity Surveyor to take full control of these projects. Over the past year, a £3m package of works has grown to £20m, with anticipated growth to £50m this year as further packages are awarded. This is a prime opportunity to be part of the team focussed on complex civils projects at one of the UK's busiest airports.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all QS duties for heavy civils works, including the upgrade of Terminal 2.
- Work on NEC contracts, directly liaising with the main civils contractor.
- Prepare cost reports, budgets, valuations, and commercial advice for senior stakeholders.
- Support tendering activities, including a large demolition scheme in Terminal 1.
- Take full ownership of project commercial management, ensuring cost control and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast, track, and report project financial performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor in large civils/airport/infrastructure projects.
- Strong NEC contract knowledge and experience.
- Track record of managing multi-million-pound projects successfully.
- Excellent commercial awareness and ability to take full control of project QS responsibilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, able to liaise directly with contractors and stakeholders.
