About the Role
As a Fire & Life Safety Systems Tester, you’ll play an important part in helping to keep buildings safe by carrying out routine inspections and functional checks of essential fire and life safety systems.
This is a non-technical role focused on following set inspection procedures, recording results accurately and reporting any issues to the relevant manager or qualified engineers.
You’ll be working across a variety of live sites throughout South West London or Guildford, ensuring vital safety systems remain compliant and operational.
- Your Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled weekly and monthly inspections of fire and life safety systems.
- Complete routine functional tests and visual inspections.
- Check fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, automatic opening vents (AOVs) and dry risers.
- Identify and report any faults, defects or system activations.
- Accurately complete inspection reports and maintain clear records.
- Communicate findings promptly to management and specialist contractors.
- Follow established testing procedures and company safety standards.
