The opportunity

Reporting directly to the Divisional Managing Director, you will lead all commercial operations across a portfolio of specialist civil engineering projects, ensuring strong financial performance while supporting the division’s long-term growth strategy. Key responsibilities

  • Lead all commercial activities across the division’s project portfolio
  • Drive profitability through effective cost management, forecasting and commercial controls
  • Oversee procurement, subcontract management, contract administration and risk management
  • Work closely with operational teams to maximise project performance and margin
  • Lead, mentor and develop the commercial team

About you

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within civil engineering, infrastructure or specialist contracting
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing commercial teams
  • Excellent commercial acumen and ability to drive business performance
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management best practice
  • Confident operating at senior management level and influencing key stakeholders
