Reporting directly to the Divisional Managing Director, you’ll take ownership of the commercial strategy, lead a high-performing team, drive profitability and play a pivotal role in the next phase of growth.

The Role
With a strong order book and ambitious growth plans, you’ll
- Lead all commercial activity across the division’s project portfolio.
- Drive profitability, forecasting, budgeting and commercial performance.
- Oversee procurement, subcontract management, contracts and risk.
- Partner with operational teams to maximise project outcomes.
- Develop and mentor the commercial team.
- Work alongside the Divisional MD to shape business strategy and future growth.
- Build lasting relationships with clients, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Champion commercial governance and best practice.
About You
You’ll already be operating as a Commercial Manager/Director or Commercial Lead with experience in civil engineering, infrastructure or specialist contracting.
You’ll bring
- A proven track record of leading commercial teams and multiple projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on improving performance.
- Excellent NEC contract knowledge.
- The confidence to influence senior stakeholders and make strategic decisions.
