We are recruiting on behalf of a very busy and well-established specialist subcontractor based near Grays, Essex, seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead their commercial function. This is a key senior hire, responsible for overseeing a team of QSs and managing the commercial performance of numerous live projects, reporting to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors
  • Full commercial control from pre-contract to final account
  • Cost control, forecasting, and risk management
  • Contractual management and client liaison

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar)
  • Proven Commercial Manager or Senior QS (subcontractor background essential)
  • Strong leadership and commercial capability
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced, high pressure, high-volume environment
