Procurement Specialist – construction industry – materials/plant Are you an experienced buyer with a solid background in construction? We\’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven individual to join this market leader, and help drive purchasing excellence across their projects. What you\’ll need * Proven experience in the construction industry * Strong background in purchasing and procurement * Thorough understanding of procurement processes, policies, and procedures * Exceptional multitasking and time management skills * Proficient in Excel and confident with IT systems * Cool under pressure and quick to solve problems * Hands-on experience with Electronic POP systems What you\’ll be up to * Continuously developing and refining their procurement systems * Sourcing and selecting the best suppliers * Raising Purchase Orders via Electronic POP system * Working closely with the Accounts Team to resolve queries * Processing GRNs (Goods Received Notes) * Preparing and analyzing weekly and monthly reports * Maintaining records of all plant and equipment on hire * Keeping supplier contact details up to date * Liaising across multiple construction sites * Ensuring full compliance with internal policies and procedures * Taking on additional ad hoc duties as needed This is a fantastic opportunity to join this busy contractor in a newly created position, with plenty of progression available during the next few years
