A successful and growing CNC engineering company based in Whitstable is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating a section of three Vertical Milling Machines, producing high-quality precision components. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced CNC professional who can work independently and take ownership of their area.
Key Responsibilities:
- CAD/CAM programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
- Running and maintaining a section of 3 Vertical Milling Machines
- Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency in production
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance and problem-solving
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator
- Strong CAD/CAM programming experience (current system: Fusion)
- Experience with Vertical Milling Machines preferred
- Ability to work to high standards with minimal supervision
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
Hours & Pay:
Pay: £17.50 – £21.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 39 hours per week
Flexible working hours: Monday–Thursday: between 07:30 – 17:45. Friday or Saturday: 07:30 – 12:30
Optional overtime available, paid at 150% (as required)
