We are seeking a Purchasing Administrator to work for a manufacturer of scientific machinery based in Hemel Hempstead.

The purchasing Administrator performs the essential function of monitoring the stock of selected items and ordering and processing of Spares Orders.

While liasing with suppliers.

The individual will work with engineering and general staff to update and maintain prices for spares and parts.

The individual must be flexible, hard-working, the ability to communicate effectively with people on all levels in a friendly and professional manner, show initiative in improving our current systems.

Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purcachase goods, materials, components or service in line with specified cost.
  • Processing of Spares Orders
  • Act as interface between suppliers.
  • Monitor and advise on any issues which arise.
  • Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
  • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
  • Maintenance of accurate stock levels and control.
  • Inspection of goods received.
