Junior Sales Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Sales Engineer to work for an equipment manufacturer based in Cumbernauld, Glasgow. This position would suit a recent graduate in mechanical engineering (or similar engineering discipline) seeking to develop a career in a sales / commercial discipline. Full and ongoing training will be provided. Responsibilities • Develop & implement appropriate sales targets & strategies, find new prospects. • Achieve order intake and profit targets • Assist in preparation of major contracts/quotations in line with company pricing & policies • Provide on-site technical & applications support to customers/prospects • Maintain digital customer records/CRM system • Call on technincal & service staff for assistance where needed • Operate and comply with company H&S policies and Guiding Principles • Carry out any other duties reasonably required or commensurate with the post as requested by management Qualifications • Bachelors, Masters degree or HNC in mechanical engineering or similar • Previous industrial sales experience preferred • Knowledge of rotating equipment would be an advantage • Excellent communication Skills • Self-motivated and organised • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and colleagues Key words: graduate sales engineer graduate mechanical engineer graduate automotive engineer graduate engineer sales engineering sales manager regional sales engineer proposals engineer business development engineer business development manager
