We are seeking an experienced Electronics Production Engineer to work for an electronic equipment supplier based in Bicester.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to support designs through to production
  • Occasional travel to local contract electronics manufacturers
  • Produce engineering documentation including assembly drawings, manufacturing instructions and test procedures
  • Review product designs for manufacturability and failure modes
  • Support the development of automated production test hardware
  • Contribute to the quality management system for processes and documentation
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Educated to at least HNC level in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
  • At least three years of experience in a manufacturing or hardware engineering position
  • Electronics manufacturing
  • Products that include embedded firmware
  • Board-level electronics debugging with common test equipment
  • New product introduction and resolution of common issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)

Skills - Desirable:

  • Design and automation of production test fixtures (e.g., with scripting or PLCs)
  • Electronics and mechanical CAD software (e.g., Altium, SolidWorks)
  • Software development (e.g., C, C++, C#, Python)
  • Basic system administration (Windows and Linux)
