We are seeking an experienced Electronics Production Engineer to work for an electronic equipment supplier based in Bicester.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to support designs through to production
- Occasional travel to local contract electronics manufacturers
- Produce engineering documentation including assembly drawings, manufacturing instructions and test procedures
- Review product designs for manufacturability and failure modes
- Support the development of automated production test hardware
- Contribute to the quality management system for processes and documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities
Qualifications and experience required:
- Educated to at least HNC level in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
- At least three years of experience in a manufacturing or hardware engineering position
- Electronics manufacturing
- Products that include embedded firmware
- Board-level electronics debugging with common test equipment
- New product introduction and resolution of common issues
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
Skills – Desirable:
- Design and automation of production test fixtures (e.g., with scripting or PLCs)
- Electronics and mechanical CAD software (e.g., Altium, SolidWorks)
- Software development (e.g., C, C++, C#, Python)
