Manufacturing Operative in Barnsley

We are seeking a Manufacturing Operative to work for a successful machinery manufacturing company in Barnsley. Working hours will be 07.30 – 16.30 Monday – Thursday & Friday 07:30 – 13.30 (with regular structured overtime). Min salary of £28,152.00 per annum plus structured overtime paid at x1.5 or x2 hour rate. This Manufacturing Operative role requires a dynamic team player with proven experience, skills and knowledge in operating manual machining. The role requires operating to high quality workmanship standards within a world class manufacturing team and facility. Responsibilities and Duties: Required to work within a dedicated team responsible for the operation of machinery use in the manufacture of steel components. This will include manual reaming of finished products, operating a radial arm drill, pre-cleaning and post-cleaning of products and assembly of painted chassis\’. Support to the fabrication/welding team as required.
