Ready to own a territory from day one and help shape how a GTM engine closes deals at scale? This is a rare chance to join a VC-backed startup solving one of the hardest problems in energy, how to make renewable power actually accessible to industrial businesses. Our client is backed by top-tier investors and is led by a commercially sharp founding team with deep GTM and product expertise. They're now hiring their first Founding Account Executive to build out their sales motion in London and own a territory from the ground up.
What They're Building
An AI-native energy orchestration platform helping industrial and commercial businesses unlock cheaper, cleaner renewable power.
Location
Hybrid / 3-4 days in office, with field time built in. You'll spend 2–3 days a week on the road at key points, meeting generators and building relationships face-to-face.
What You'll Do
- Be on the field, meet with energy producers (Farmers, Agricultural businesses, Renewable energy project owners)
- Own territory planning and outbound execution — build target lists, run prospecting across cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and creative channels, and book qualified meetings
- Run deep discovery and close deals — understand each prospect's site, commercial priorities, contracts, and decision process; position the solution and negotiate terms to signature
- Build the closing playbook — your approach to territory strategy, positioning, and objection handling becomes the template the team scales
- Keep the pipeline honest — own deals from first qualified meeting through close, manage stakeholder maps, keep CRM clean, and forecast what will actually close
- Fast-moving and outcome-driven — they doubled their ARR in months, not years
- Flat structure with direct founder access — you'll get feedback and unblock issues directly, not through layers
- High ownership — every conversation and meeting you have shapes the commercial strategy
Must-Haves
- 4+ years in a sales role: at least 1–2 years as an outbound SDR/BDR and 2 years closing full-cycle deals
- Proven ability to initiate conversations with new prospects and turn cold outreach into real meetings
- Self-motivated and competitive — you drive your own day and don't wait to be told what to do
- Valid driving licence (you'll be on the road meeting generators)
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in energy, renewables, infrastructure, or industrial B2B sales
- Comfort working in a fast-growing startup (or general startup experience)
Compensation
Why Join? This isn't another sales role. It's your chance to build something that matters — to help accelerate the energy transition while getting in early at a company that's genuinely moving the needle. You'll own real commercial responsibility, help shape how a GTM engine works from the ground up, and look back knowing you built something worth your time. The company is growing with real revenue traction, fresh funding, and momentum. If you're hungry to make a visible impact and want to do it in a startup where you're not just another number, this is it.
