If you've ever wanted to walk into a sales role with strong inbound, a product that sells itself to the right buyer, and the freedom to build the way you think it should be built, read on.
We're partnering with a high-growth, VC-backed startup redefining how modern data teams interact with their BI stack. Our client is led by a technically sharp founding team who've built a product with genuine traction on a path to £10M by year-end, and 6 years of runway. They're now looking for an ambitious, technically confident Account Executive to join their lean commercial team in London.
What They're Building
A next-generation BI and data visualisation platform helping data teams, Heads of Data, BI leads, Analytics Managers, move faster, ship better dashboards, and actually love their tooling.
Location
London, United Kingdom - Hybrid (central London)
What You'll Do
- Own full-cycle deals from prospecting through demo to close — no hand-holding, no hand-offs
- Deliver technically confident demos to data and analytics leaders, with limited SE support — you are the expert in the room
- Handle a mix of strong inbound and self-sourced outbound; build your own pipeline approach, experiment with tools and events
- Shape the sales motion for a product that has PMF but no fixed playbook — your instincts and results will define how the team scales
- Engage mid-market and enterprise accounts, competing and winning against legacy BI incumbents
Environment
- Fast-moving and highly commercial, the team executes at startup speed, not enterprise pace
- High ownership culture with direct access to founders; your voice shapes product and GTM direction
- Lean team where every deal matters, no bureaucracy, just results
Must-Haves
- Proven full-cycle sales experience, you can prospect, demo, and close
- Technical confidence: comfortable demoing a technical product to technical buyers without a safety net
- High agency and startup mindset, you don't wait for a playbook, you write one
- Resilient, metrics-driven, and genuinely curious about the data/analytics space
- Experience or strong interest in AI and automation tools as part of your sales process
- Background selling data, BI, or analytics tools (Tableau, Looker, dbt, etc.)
- Experience as a founding or early-stage AE at a VC-backed startup
- Builder mentality, side projects, personal brand, tinkerer mindset
Compensation: Between £170k - £200k
Why Join?
This isn't a role where you inherit a mature playbook and work a territory someone else built. It's a chance to get in early at a company with genuine enterprise traction, serious runway, and a product buyers are already seeking out.
The inbound is real. The customers are recognisable. The autonomy is genuine. If you're a technically confident AE who wants to do the best commercial work of your career, and have your name on how it scales, this is the one.
