This is not your run-of-the-mill care position. At Bluebird Care Mid Essex, we are building something incredible—for both our customers and our team. We believe in exceptional customer service, both inside and outside the organisation.
We are currently seeking a Senior Care Expert for full-time hours across Chelmsford, covering:
Galleywood
Sandon
Broomfield
Great Baddow
Maldon
Danbury
South Woodham Ferrers
What makes this role special?
As a Senior Care Expert, you\’ll be more than just a Care Expert. You’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate care and support to help our customers enjoy the best quality of life in their own homes. You’ll also be a mentor, guide and supporter to your fellow care colleagues—helping to maintain our high Bluebird Care standards and promote a positive, nurturing team environment.

- Provide ongoing team support even when you’re working independently
Offer competitive pay rates:
Weekdays: ÂŁ15.50
Weekends: ÂŁ16.50
Bank Holidays: ÂŁ20.25
What we’re looking for:
- A minimum of 9 months’ experience as a care assistant (or equivalent)
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
- A commitment to working every other weekend
- A caring, compassionate, and calm nature
- A strong understanding of person-centred care
- Confidence mentoring and supporting others in the care team
- The ability to complete spot checks, reviews, audits, and provide leadership-level support
- Be an active member of our on-call support team
This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a bigger impact—not just for customers, but for the care team too. Whether it’s offering guidance to new staff and existing team members, conducting light touch customer reviews in the community, or stepping in during an emergency, you’ll be a key player in delivering excellence, every day.
