Self Employed Live-in Care Assistant
Location: Taunton, Mid Devon, Sedgemoor & West Somerset
£750 – £850 per week | Expert training provided for additional cost – if training is not up to date | Live-in role with paid breaks

Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care that’s tailored to the customer and encourages their independence
- Assist with personal care like washing, dressing, toileting and mobility
- Manage their medication and prep their meals
- Take care of household tasks like laundry, cleaning, shopping and errands
- Support customers in staying connected to their community through social activities, hobbies, and visits from loved ones
- Offer comfort and care through illness, hospital visits, or end-of-life care
- Work independently while staying connected with our dedicated care and office team for support and guidance
- Paid breaks and accommodation while in placement
- Ongoing supervision and 24/7 support from our dedicated office team
- Ongoing training
- Flexible working patterns to match your lifestyle and preferences with both long – and short-term placements available
- Weekly welfare checks
- Introduction to customers facilitated by office team with added transport support from nearest train station to client upon first meeting.
Requirements
- A kind and caring nature
- Professionalism and Confidentiality
- Ability to live with customers for agreed shifts
- Follow care plans and Bluebird Care Policies & Procedures
- DBS on the update service
- Three professional and/or educational references
- A valid driving Licence (preferred but not essential)
- Have a Right to Work in the UK
- Previous experience is beneficial but not necessary
