Bluebird Care Cheshire East is looking for a proactive and organised Operations & Business Support Officer to support the smooth running and growth of our business. This is a varied, hands‑on role combining operations, administration, finance support, and marketing. You'll take ownership of our day‑to‑day marketing activity while also supporting key business functions such as invoicing, recruitment coordination, and internal processes. We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, brings ideas, and is confident using digital tools (including AI) to improve efficiency and communication.
Responsibilities
- Marketing & Communications
- Manage and update website content
- Plan and schedule social media activity
- Create and send newsletters and internal communications
- Develop simple marketing materials and campaigns
- Monitor engagement and suggest improvements
- Use AI tools to support content creation and marketing activity
- Ensure consistent branding across all channels
- Operations & Administration
- Provide day‑to‑day administrative support across the office
- Support internal projects and help improve systems and processes
- Maintain accurate records, documents, and reports
- Assist with enquiries and support the wider team
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows using digital tools and AI
- Finance & Business Support
- Assist with payroll preparation (hours, mileage, etc.)
- Support invoicing for private clients and local authorities
- Process expenses and maintain financial records
- Handle basic invoice queries and credit control tasks
- Maintain spreadsheets and carry out routine checks
- Recruitment & People Support
- Coordinate recruitment activity (job ads, interviews, onboarding)
- Support compliance processes (right‑to‑work, DBS, training tracking)
- Maintain accurate employee records
- Provide general support with staff queries
Qualifications
- Experience in administration, operations, marketing, or a similar all‑round role
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident using digital tools, social media platforms, and spreadsheets
- Comfortable using (or willing to learn) AI tools to improve efficiency
