Due to growing demand, we are seeking carers who can provide evening availability on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. However, we are open to other availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing essential personal care and companionship
  • Assisting with meal preparation, shopping, and household tasks
  • Supporting with medication management
  • Encouraging independence to help customers stay in their own homes
  • Following and contributing to customer care plans
  • Supporting and guiding less experienced members of the care team where required

Senior Carer On-Call Responsibilities:

  • Providing on-call support from Friday 4:30pm through to Monday 8:30am
  • Ensuring the on‑call phone is available and monitored between 6:00am and 11:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Ensuring all carers are correctly clocked in and out of their shifts
  • Responding to and covering sickness absence where required
  • Managing and responding to emergency situations
  • Answering on‑call queries from customers, families, and care staff
  • Coordinating care delivery to ensure continuity of service
  • Completing care visits where sickness or absence cannot be covered by another member of the team

We know that happy, supported staff provide the best care. That’s why we offer:

  • Competitive Pay: £13.85 per hour, £16.00 per hour on Bank Holidays, £20.00 per hour on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
  • On‑call retainer payment: £15 for Friday, £40 per day for Saturday and Sunday

Requirements:

  • A Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • To be living in the local area
  • The ability to work alternate weekends
  • To commit to working a minimum of one evening shift per week
  • A kind, compassionate attitude and a calm approach to care
  • Great communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Ability to follow care plans
  • Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while making decisions under pressure
  • ABI experience is desirable but not essential
